Sisyphus Logistics, the anthem
The recording isn't up here yet. It's playable at sisyphuslogistics.com.
My van is named Sisyphus. It was named before I ever read the essay. It now wears magnetic signs for Sisyphus Logistics (uphill freight, one route, no missed days, round trips guaranteed), and there is a website that plays the whole thing as a 1998 corporate freight site, completely straight.
The anthem is the company jingle, done as a 1940s radio advertisement: a transatlantic announcer, newsreel confidence, a big band, tight-harmony company singers, crackly AM mono. The joke is never told. The sincerity is the Camus.
Early rough cut. The site is live; the song is not finished.
